Delhi: Delegates representing 36 States and Union Territories have arrived in the national capital, New Delhi, for the grand finale of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, which is scheduled to take place on October 30th and 31st, 2023, at Kartavya Path/Vijay Chowk.
To participate in this two-day program, these “Amrit Kalash Yatris” have journeyed to Delhi via specially designated trains, buses, and local transport. They are accommodated in two camps: the Dhanchiri camp in Gurgaon and the Radha Soami Satsang Beas Camp in Delhi.
The West Bengal delegation, bearing the sacred Amrit Kalash filled with soil, arrived in Delhi to partake in the closing ceremony of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign on October 31, 2023.
Delegates from Chhattisgarh also brought the Amrit Kalash for the concluding ceremony of the campaign.
The Karnataka delegation, brimming with enthusiasm, arrived at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi to participate in the final leg of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign.
With their Amrit Kalash in hand, the delegation from Gujarat arrived in Delhi.
The Goa delegation, carrying their Amrit Kalash, also arrived at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station to participate in the closing ceremony of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign.
The Maharashtra delegation, likewise carrying an Amrit Kalash, arrived at New Delhi Railway Station to join the grand finale of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign.
On October 30, 2023, a day-long program themed “Meri Maati Mera Desh” will be conducted, featuring participants from various States and Union Territories who will march in ceremonial attire. This event marks the conclusion of the Amrit Kalash Yatra, and participants will gather at Kartavya Path to march zone-wise and pour soil/rice from their State/UT Amrit Kalash into one giant Amrit Kalash, symbolizing the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The program is set to commence at 10 A.M. and extend into the late evening.
On October 31, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the grand finale of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign at Vijay Chowk/Kartavya Path. This event will also mark the conclusion of the two-year-long Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign, which began on March 12, 2021, to commemorate 75 years of India’s independence. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has seen over two lakh programs organized across the country with active public participation.
This event will also serve as the launch of the autonomous body “MeraYuva Bharat” (MY Bharat), aiming to empower youth for youth-led development and to engage them as active drivers of progress. The autonomous body’s mission is to inspire young individuals to become community change agents and nation builders, acting as a bridge between the Government and the citizens.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur has announced that a “Run for Unity” event will be held on October 31st, coinciding with the conclusion of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” program under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the same day, the MeraYuva Bharat portal will be launched, providing a platform for the nation’s youth to contribute to nation-building.
