New Delhi, India: The India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF) 2023, a multi-stakeholder platform addressing public policy issues related to the Internet, is set to take place in New Delhi on December 5th. The hybrid event, convened from 09:00 to 18:30 (IST), marks the third edition of the IIGF, exploring the theme “Moving Forward – Calibrating Bharat’s Digital Agenda.”
After successfully hosting the first two editions in 2021 and 2022, the IIGF aims to delve into critical issues such as building a secure, trusted, and resilient cyberspace for Bharat, enabling innovation for India’s developmental goals, and calibrating Bharat’s digital agenda. The event is being held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, for in-person attendees.

The inaugural session, held from 10:00 to 11:30 (IST), will be graced by Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Shri S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), will deliver a special address, with the welcome address by Shri Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary, MeitY.
Dignitaries from international organizations such as the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will participate in various panel discussions alongside stakeholders from civil society, the private sector, technical community, think tanks, and industry associations.
