New Delhi, November 7: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has completed Special Campaign 6, which ran through October 2026, and says it met every target it set for grievance disposal, cleanliness and record management. The drive covered the head office, training academies, 21 zonal offices and regional and district offices.
Grievances and appeals
EPFO disposed of 2,36,021 public grievances against a target of 2,05,000. Of these, 2,02,984 were handled on the EPFiGMS portal (target: 1,80,000) and 33,037 on CPGRAM, which EPFO said was 32.1% above target.
It also disposed of 10,343 CPGRAM appeals against a target of 5,758, and 758 PMOPG petitions against a target of 747. Targets for 36 VIP references and two parliamentary assurances were also met.
For PMOPG petitions, EPFO collected feedback from petitioners by telephone after disposal. It said an overwhelming majority expressed satisfaction, and it gathered suggestions for small systemic improvements.
Cleanliness drives and space freed
EPFO identified and transformed 598 cleanliness target units against a target of 570. Office beautification, tree plantation and a blood donation camp were also part of the campaign.
The organisation freed 68,178 square feet of space, against a target of 28,300 square feet.
Record management
EPFO reviewed 41,875 physical files against a target of 28,770. It identified 517 physical files for weeding, against a target of 109, and weeded 342 against a target of 82.
On the electronic side, 8,355 e-files were reviewed (target: 8,160) and 3,106 were closed (target: 3,000).
How progress was tracked
Progress was monitored at several levels within EPFO. Offices held mass pledge-taking events and grievance redressal drives. EPFO said the cleanliness and record work left its offices cleaner for people dealing with them and created space for more efficient office management.
Separately, the Cabinet raised the EPFO wage ceiling to ₹25,000 in September, as Medilytix reported.
